In his more-than-40-year career shaping and influencing the senior living and care industry, Bob Kramer has never accepted a board seat for a senior living and care company. Until now.
In an exclusive interview with McKnight’s Senior Living, Kramer shared why he chose to join Lifespark’s board – citing Lifespark’s COMPLETE Senior Living model and its ability to reduce turnover, decrease hospitalization, and proactively manage health and wellness.
Lifespark founder and CEO Joel Theisen, BSN, RN, said CSL, our person-centered model, integrates four components— senior housing, primary care, palliation and hospice, and the SPARK Growth & Wellness program led by Bill Thomas, MD — and measures outcomes and uses data to refine its methods.
“One of the things I was really attracted to and excited by was the willingness of Lifespark to enable and encourage older adults to take risk — reasonable risk — as risk is part of being alive,” Kramer said, praising a recent company video that showed residents ziplining. “It says that what Lifespark is about is not just managing decline but maximizing capabilities.”
