Memory Care Operators See ‘Great Opportunity’ for GUIDE Model After Launch

In a recent article in Senior Housing News, reporter Austin Montgomery shares how memory care operators are gearing up for deeper participation in the new Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience (GUIDE) program from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), which officially launched this week.

Austin interviewed Matt Kinne, Lifespark Chief Operating Officer, on Lifespark’s plans to interact with GUIDE. Matt explained that the GUIDE model begins to “fill the gaps” between health incidents among older adults, especially in home health and hospice—areas that often get “left out” of value-based care conversations. “Immediately with this model, we can start to fill those gaps and continue to provide real value and support seniors’ life and health goals longer and more seamlessly,” said Kinne.
