At Target Field That Is…

Dorthy and Leona at a BallgameDorothy and Leona have been described as baseball fanatics, and seldom miss a televised game. It was only natural then that Dorothy shared her love of the game with her Life Care Manager (LCM) while they were creating Dorothy’s Life Plan.

At the heart of our whole person senior care solution is our Life Care Managers. Our passionate, registered nurses are not only experienced in the senior care industry, they are elevating the meaning of care to an entirely new level. By combining the art of compassionate care with our scientifically proven, proprietary methods and discovery process, they become the trusted advocate for a person’s whole life – encompassing everything from health and wellness to purpose and passion.

During Dorothy’s discovery process, she shared with her LCM that she hadn’t been able to attend a game in person for a number of years. To help Dorothy re-discover her passion, her LCM created a plan of her own – a trip to Target Field to get Dorothy to a ballgame.

The Lifespark team coordinated a special tour with Target Field staff and arranged for the necessary transportation and equipment that enabled Dorothy and her friend, Leona, also an avid baseball fan, to spend over two hours at the park, traveling more than a mile to see all the sights, such as the Champions Club where the World Series trophies reside. Their favorite: being on the actual field itself, imagining those pitches being thrown! As lifelong fans, they also loved visiting the Hall of Fame, reminiscing about past players they remember so well. “It brings it all back, just like yesterday, “stated Dorothy.
