Tips to Help Clients Decipher Their Senior Housing Choices.  Lifespark offering Free Senior Housing Report…

deep-in-thoughtA move to a new home is considered a major life event for good reason. There is so much involved–everything from touring and choosing a location, to understanding the financial ramifications, to packing, sorting and then actually moving and resettling all your stuff. You can get exhausted just thinking about it. Now imagine for a moment that you’re recuperating or have just recently had a major health crisis. How does a move sound now?

Sounds really difficult or even impossible, doesn’t it? And yet, thousands of seniors in the Twin Cities metro move every year.

According to the Affordable Assisted Living Report from the Joint Center for Housing Studies at Harvard University, the two biggest reasons that seniors move are due to death of spouse or retirement. Another major factor that comes as no surprise is health status.

As professionals, we frequently see people in the second half of life who are faced with the dilemma of whether to move, and if they choose to move, what options are best. Where do they start? They can look on the web or use online housing options. But how well do those sources know your client and his or her specific situation, needs and wants? How well do they know the over 400+ senior housing options in the Twin Cities?

At Lifespark, through our free Housing Solutions service, we’ve helped hundreds of people find their ‘best fit’ housing options in the Minneapolis and St. Paul metro area.

We’ve put together some of our top tips and learning into a FREE special report called 7 Tips for Choosing Senior Housing to make that search a lot easier. The guide shares frontline expertise to help your clients and their families answer common questions and learn from others’ experiences:

  • Tips on how to tour to get the best ‘look’ at a community
