This is our Introductory post for our Long Term Care Insurance Series. Please see the end of post for additional posts to help answer your questions about Long-term Care Insurance.

Over the last 20 years with the help of increased medical knowledge, better nutrition and advances in the practice of medicine, we’re living longer. But with increased life expectancy comes increased likelihood that we’ll eventually need long-term care and be faced with the cost of paying for it. <break>

At Lifesprk, our staff has experience with thousands of clients in the second half of their lives who have needed long-term care. We know first-hand that without proper preparation, the costs for long-term care can often be overwhelming. Just as having insurance for medical costs, our homes and autos, and our jewelry and fine art, we need to insure ourselves to cover the costs of long-term care. Our experience has shown that there are good insurance products that will pay for these costs.

Long-term care insurance is an essential element in enabling your purpose, passion and possibilities to come alive in the second half of life. We’re driven to do everything we can to provide opportunities for you to learn about long-term care insurance, and how to go about selecting a plan that can fit your budget and provide as much protection as you can afford.

mom-grandmaBecause this protection requires the person at the age of application to be of reasonable health, we urge you to begin investigating as soon as possible. Premium rates are based on your age when you apply for coverage, and offer good health discounts. So be sure to consider your options as soon as possible. You’ll never be healthier and younger than you are today.

We will also provide anyone that already has long-term care insurance, or their family members, assistance in understanding how their policy works, the current value of their policy and an understanding of optional features that they may want to activate.

We are launching a weekly blog series that will help you learn about long-term care insurance and answer questions you may have in planning for long-term care. Plan on checking out the following topics:

  1. What is long-term care insurance? Do I need it?
  2. How does long-term care insurance protect my assets and retirement?
  3. What am I really buying when I buy a long-term care insurance policy?
  4. How can I find a qualified long-term care insurance advisor to help guide my process of buying and maintaining insurance
  5. What do I and my family need to know if we currently have long-term care insurance?

We’ll begin the first part of our series next week. Make sure you sign up now to receive the series in your email inbox by clicking here. We look forward to having this discussion with you, and as always, are here to answer any questions you may have.
