Senior living is not hospitality or health care — it’s a mixture of both.
Andrew Christman, a reporter for Senior Housing News, wrote about this evolution in the senior industry, where operators are strengthening their ability to keep residents healthy longer.
Christman highlighted Lifespark’s COMPLETE Senior Living (CSL) model as one example of improving the holistic senior living experience from beginning to end. Unveiled in early 2026, CSL integrates four key components to help residents age well — senior living, activities and wellness programming, primary care and urgent response services, and late-life transitions, including hospice — under one unified effort.
“It’s clear the senior living industry is evolving and adapting to the fact that today’s older adults desire not just good lodging but also care that keeps them living well for longer. I believe this trend will only grow in the months and years ahead,” said Christman.
