Lifespark Chief Medical Officer, Nick Schneeman, shared his thoughts on this topic in a recent article published in Time Magazine. He offered up tips on how to trim your medication list for seniors and their families.

The cascade of drugs is responsible for a vast but underpublicized American tragedy. Medication overload will contribute to the premature deaths of 150,000 seniors over the next decade, one study found, while causing the hospitalization of 750 people, per day, who are age 65 and above. 

With 1 in 5 people over 65 taking more than 5 medications – this issue can be a huge problem for older adults making this article an important one.
